SMS 10DLC Registration Process

How do I register my long code SMS phone number for 10DLC?

Unregistered SMS traffic will be blocked by phone Carriers on December 1st, 2024.

To avoid any SMS service disruption, you must follow these steps very closely. The phone carriers look for any opportunity to reject an SMS request, so your attention to detail in this process and patience will be very much appreciated.

1. Watch the following step by step video:

2. Go to Admin > Support Channels > SMS/Text > Add new number

3. Fill in your details under Provision Existing Number and hit Add.

4.  Fill out this LOA form completely, sign it, and email it to sms@livehelpnow.com.

5. Update the public privacy policy on your website or wherever chat is located. It must include a line that says, "All the above categories exclude text messaging originator optin data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. We may share your Personal Data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, with third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including but not limited to platform providers, phone companies, and any other vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages."

6. We begin the provisioning process. To do that, we need to provide to our SMS vendor information on where your SMS/chat widget is located and what is the Call To Action (CTA). If your chat widget is behind a login, we'll need you to provide us a temporary login so we can document this information.

7. We may have some questions for you about the type of business you are, how SMS will be used, the opt-in/opt-out messages, and what type of SMS messages you might send. Here are some additional guidelines required for approval:

- Message frequency disclosure is now required in opt-in CTAs. Example: Message frequency varies.
- Website opt-in forms must not have mandatory phone number fields, which is now considered a forced opt-in. The phone number field should be optional.

8. Please be patient! The process can take many weeks. Don't be surprised if your first application is rejected. We'll work hard to make the process as smooth as possible.

For the first number registered, your account will be charged a one-time 10DLC registration fee of $50. There are no registration fees for additional numbers. You may choose not to complete 10DLC registration, but your number will be blocked on December 1.
